Once things started to get back on track, the Mayor decided to have people's power levels tested for the safety of the ever evolving city. People whose powers were deemed useful to everyday life have a permit that allows them to use them! Many business have been created, and thrived due to this new development. There are a few types of permits that people can get depending on the strength and complexity of the ability. However... A person deemed as “dangerous” is not permitted to use their ability under any circumstances. These seem to be the individuals causing the most trouble in our city. Due to the rise in crime the Governor worked with the Mayor to create a task force called "The Special Division". These guys go around the city to ensure that peace is kept. Of course with the rise of the Special Division, came the Rise of many extremist groups including The Barren, Ruin, the dreadful 4D Organization...and many more. Grunge City continues to try and get back on its feet amongst the chaos. We hope that this doesn't deter you from your stay, we have everything under control! Forced into the public eye, sorcerer society revealed itself and became an official branch of the Japanese government. Now, in 2026, countless factions battle alongside, or against, one another.
