The virus was said to be a form of weaponized rabies. Both sides agreed to a ceasefire to contain the outbreak and evacuate civilians and all other personnel within the quarantine zone. However, the virus spread, causing worldwide devastation. The US, already struggling, faced the devastation. As Autumn begins to fall, September began. The people remaking within divided, beginning to form factions to resist, recover and rebuild against the invasions. In this chaotic world, the choices are yours. You can take advantage of the situation for your benefit or try to survive. Faction or not, whatever you decide could change the fate of Project Outbreak. On September 17th, 2020, the United States has been torn apart by a devastating outbreak. The government is struggling to rebuild the country while fending off hordes of infected. Amid this chaos, the Soviets have invaded, further complicating the situation. The Raven Guard PMCs have been called to protect valuable assets and eliminate the most dangerous infected by wealthy citizens, organizations, and the government. The situation is only made worse by the Soviets landing troops near Rikers Island, freeing the prisoners, and arming them to sow as much chaos as possible. Wintercrest, the capital of Beryndel, is the center of these fights. A city surrounded by walls to keep the superpower wildlife outside of them from getting in. A city of lights and flashy fights, as long as you do not stray too far into the wrong district of course. That was until a "great miracle" happened where multiple people with superpowers would appear on Earth. A corporation called Unilluminated turned these superpowered people into superheroes! Rumors are going around the world that the corporation is corrupt and their heroes are supervillains hiding as heroes. Now with the new generation of heroes who are shown to save more and act kinder than the corporation heroes, there's going to be a big fight to show which type of hero will win! Will it be the big corporation or the new heroes? 💫𝗥𝗣 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 💫 > Heroverse is an 18+ RP that's in a custom comic-book-like universe. This is an OC-only experience as it allows original characters to gain powers from canon media and can make it different from the actual material. To make sure that every character is comfortable, we have different cities and countries so that it can fit to their liking. Kings City for example fits characters that are into Spiderman or Batman level characters while New York fits characters that are in the level of Superman and Iron Man for example.
