The various branches of the Targaryen dynasty have been at odds with one another, which is primarily credited towards some Targaryens believing others to be incapable of ruling over the Seven Kingdoms. Meanwhile, across the Narrow Sea, House Blackfyre has once more entered the scene. Daemon IV has signed a pact with eight other warlords, sellswords and pirates to carve out a kingdom for each of them, labelling themselves as the Band of Nine. Though they are still retained to the Disputed Lands, it is no mystery that they will eventually attempt to cross over into the Seven Kingdoms, all in an attempt to seat Daemon IV on the Iron Throne.
