The year is 2020, World War III has raged on since 1998. The Soviets and the US had been fighting throughout Eastern Europe as time progressed. The year 2020 settled in, things finally began to warm up. It was June, the beginning of the end. As summer began, a virus had breached containment within the confines of an old Nazi lab located in Lithuania during the chaos of the never ending war. The virus was said to be a form of weaponized rabies. Both sides agreed to a ceasefire to contain the outbreak and evacuate civilians and all other personnel within the quarantine zone. However, the virus spread, causing worldwide devastation. The US, already struggling, faced the devastation. As Autumn begins to fall, September began. The people remaking within divided, beginning to form factions to resist, recover and rebuild against the invasions. In this chaotic world, the choices are yours. You can take advantage of the situation for your benefit or try to survive. Faction or not, whatever you decide could change the fate of Project Outbreak. On September 17th, 2020, the United States has been torn apart by a devastating outbreak. The government is struggling to rebuild the country while fending off hordes of infected. Amid this chaos, the Soviets have invaded, further complicating the situation. The Raven Guard PMCs have been called to protect valuable assets and eliminate the most dangerous infected by wealthy citizens, organizations, and the government. The situation is only made worse by the Soviets landing troops near Rikers Island, freeing the prisoners, and arming them to sow as much chaos as possible.
