The Kyoto Catastrophe: September 1998: 2:49 AM: In the dead of night, the Kyoto Metropolitan Curse Technical College is violently attacked. Cursed Spirits, led by an enigmatic entity wielding an unknown Cursed Technique, shatters the protective Veil around the campus. This breach allows the spirits to flood into the institution. 3:00 AM: The surprise attack catches the college off-guard. Off-duty sorcerers, who are asleep in the dormitory, are brutally slain as the cursed spirits storm the area. On-duty sorcerers, despite their valiant efforts, are overwhelmed by the sheer number of cursed spirits and their formidable leader. 4:12 AM: The Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College receives an urgent distress signal. Realizing the gravity of the situation, the Tokyo sorcerers quickly assemble a rescue team. They prepare to deploy, knowing that every second counts to save lives and halt the cursed spirits' rampage. 5:34 AM: The Tokyo sorcerers arrive in Kyoto to find the college in utter ruin. The campus is ravaged, with buildings destroyed and the grounds littered with debris. The battle to drive out the remaining cursed spirits is fierce, but the Tokyo team manages to either defeat or drive away the remaining entities. Aftermath: With the Kyoto campus left in a state of desolation, it is abandoned and becomes a refuge for cursed spirits due to the absence of sorcerers. The survivors from Tokyo salvage valuable cursed tools, scrolls, and artifacts, transporting them to their own college. The disaster prompts a thorough reevaluation of security protocols within the Jujutsu Society, highlighting the need for stronger defenses against such catastrophic breaches.
