It has been about 800 years since the mortals have vowed to uphold their promise to the goddess of Order, Ashera, and keep the continent in a perpetual state of peace. Yet, as we speak, the tension between Beorc and Laguz could not be higher. Though these two races live in their separate territories, one small group of individual threatens the peace of the continent, simply by existing. The Brandeds are the children of unions between laguz and beorc. Shunned by both sides and even hunted in some places, they fight to survive and have settled in a hidden village, in the middle of the Grann Desert, where they hope to gather the entirety of their population and aid their own. Recently, a new decree was made by the Apostle of Begnion, Empress Aurora: Brandeds were to be executed on sight, as their existence is a sin against their goddess who forbids relationships between laguz and beorc. While Begnion follows her as their spiritual leader, will the other nations bow and carry out a genocide?
