The records are bloody and brutal and thankfully now final. Muzan was destroyed and the Corps faded into the background. What little survived of their history was fairytales. By the early 1900s, the world had moved on (in this AU the canon lore happened before then). Any stories of demons were just to scare kids who would sneak out at night. But history has a way of repeating itself to those who don't learn it. Households are disappearing overnight. Strange figures are caught standing on back roads at night. There's rumors of a sickness spreading through poor villages that causes cannibalism. Of course this could just be bandits or paranoia. At least that's what the government plays it off as. Unbeknownst to everyone, demons never fully disappeared. There was a backup, Muzan always knew how to be one step ahead of people. Three demons he broke off from his blood. Now that Muzan is gone, they're awake and they're stronger than before. The remnants of the Old Corps are being called to arms once more.
