In the wake of the battle between Lord Liu Kang and the Titan Shang Tsung’s armies from across the Multiverse, people from across different timelines have begun to leak into our world. To prevent great tragedy from befalling the realms, Liu Kang has chosen to use the power offered by the Hourglass to simulate Mortal Kombat for the benefit of his allies, allowing them to fight to the death against any opponent before being brought back to life with all the strength and experience carried over. Of course, there have also been other uses for the Hourglass that Liu Kang has discovered… the possibility for love as endless as the vast amount of alternate realities. Unforeseen consequences have arrived in the wake of continual usage of the Hourglass, however, visitors from the past timeline have begun periodically crossing into the New Era. Only time will reveal if new and old faces will live in harmony or create Chaos…
