These are the Golden City Chronicles, tales of a world like ours, but just slightly wrong. A place we recognize, but where our fears take on lives of their own. This is a modern gothic horror setting, presenting an image of our modern world "through a looking glass darkly": more dangerous, less caring, and filled with monsters of both human and inhuman varieties. Golden City Chronicles utilizes elements of the Chronicles of Darkness game series as a guide to storytelling encounters with the uncanny and a foundation for tales in which the monster becomes the hero. Our setting location is San Francisco, California. Join us in telling tales of thrills and chills. The emphasis here is on storytelling and role-playing, not on stats and rolling dice.
