Borders are checked extra often, and cats are constantly hostile. Gatherings are almost never a time of peace, as leaders and warriors alike either all despise each other or are allied with each other. The war started by clans trying to pressure each other to share territories with each other. Some leaders were okay with that, others were not, causing a massive argument that stemmed off into a war.
