The city of New Versai has long been an eyesore for the American people for many years. Sitting on the Florida coast it’s a hot spot for every vice under the sun. Hosting casinos, bars, restaurants from around the globe, even a theme park, it’s a tourist hotspot but also home to so much danger, and it’s nightlife puts Las Vegas to shame. It’s even a technological accomplishment the likes of which had never been seen before. Sitting on its own private island off the Florida coast, support gear companies, tech companies, and even the slowly budding cybernetic market have placed this town in the map. Corporate and government intrigue infests the massive high rises of the downtown area, to the vast industrial complex of the industrial district, New Versai is a dangerous place to live. Profitable, sure, but villains run rampant in many parts of the city. Gangs of them control nearly every district and fight over territory on a regular basis. That isn’t to say the city is totally lawless. The police are brutal in doling out justice where they can but even then the poorer districts that can't afford a police presence to deal with the neighborhood menaces as they crop up have their own share of vigilantes roaming the streets. Some are soldiers of fortune, bounty hunters looking to bank on the price of some of these heads by both the state and those commissioned by corporations. The OHC (Office of Hero Commissions) has had a hell of a time getting assigned heroes here that don’t burn out, get killed, or end up on the take but has ramped up its efforts to crush the known villain presence that is practically a facet of New Versai’s everyday life.
