With lush forests, mountains, cities, (and gates to hell), this is a beautiful place. Many people call this rolling land home, with travelers always welcome to stop as well. ~Map of Aurora~ There is a large mountain range in the middle of the land, with caves and cliffs across its surface. Nestled into the rock face there is a large house, known only as the Halfway House. This house is home to a caretaker and their son, and is so situated to be a waystation for many a weary traveler or fleeing warrior. Fed by mountain runoff, there is a large lake at the bottom of the mountains, with sandy beaches stretching all the way from the Forest of Light to the Destroyed Forest. Laid out around the base of the mountains, there is the soaring City of Aurora, with a bustling central station, sleepy suburbans, and many a nook and cranny to lay low or have a good time! Surrounding the city wall, there are two forests, stretching either direction. The Forest of Light lies to the right, full of many beautiful flora and fauna, as well as many a cheerful cabin. The Destroyed Forest lies to the left, seemingly in permanent shadow. A fire raged through the forest many decades before, and nothing more has grown, leaving an eerily silent and dead forest of black-and-white trees. Some say, if you venture far enough into the Destroyed Forest, you will find the gates to hell. Stories go so far to say that if you dare to venture into hell, you might find a city of black stone, where the Devil leans over a tome in the library. Further beyond that, if you dare to cross the River Styx, you will find yourself in the cursed land of Purgatory. This is a land of enchantment, with many a surprise hidden around the corners. Venture in, and you may just discover a new journey. 🌌
