Welcome to the Great White Wasteland, a vast expanse of land stretching across all of Canada proper. The year is 2290, over two centuries since the Great War that devastated the world. In the aftermath of the war, Canada has become a desolate and dangerous place, populated by mutants, raiders, and the remnants of a shattered society. Despite the chaos that still reigns in many parts of the wasteland, Canada has enjoyed a period of relative calm and stability in recent years. After a decade of infighting and conflict to the south, the last three years have been marked by a surprising absence of major drama. However, that peace is about to be shattered as new threats emerge from every corner of the wasteland. To the east, the Brotherhood of Steel and other factions from the previous Fallout games have established a foothold in Canada, seeking to bring order to the chaos of the wasteland. Meanwhile, the west is home to the rare NCR squads and Legionnaires, both of which seek to extend their influence northward. Super mutants are a common sight on the west coast of Canada, where they are more accepted by the local population. However, on the east coast, ghouls are still widely distrusted and shunned, despite their best efforts to reintegrate into society. Central Canada is home to a variety of religious zealots and pre-war ghouls who cling to the trappings of the Old World, despite the chaos of the wasteland. To the far north, harsh winters and post-war tribals make survival a constant challenge. Mainstream society is a distant memory in this region, and only the most seasoned guides and insane individuals venture into the far north. However, for those brave enough to brave the elements, salvage and rare resources can be found in the frozen tundra. But the relative peace that has prevailed in Canada for the last few years is about to be disrupted by new threats and challenges that will test the limits of the wasteland's inhabitants. Whether you are a hardened survivor, a cunning raider, or a brave adventurer, the Great White Wasteland has much to offer, but it is up to you to determine your own fate in this harsh and unforgiving land.
