One hundred and fifty four years before Daenerys Targaryen was born. Since the reign of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen, The Conciliator, Westeros has been in a time of peace and prosperity. It has triumphed, as House Targaryen rules over the Seven Kingdoms. After King Jaehaerys came the next in line, King Viserys I Targaryen, The Peaceful. Westeros has continued to thrive under his rule, as the realm remains in peace. But this peace could only last for so long, before chaos took hold. Viserys, is a weak ruler, worse, a dying man. The line of succession remains torn, with Viserys's Decision being for the next in line to be Rhaenyra Targaryen, the king's firstborn child and eldest daughter. Despite this, many others in the realm believe the next in line should be the king's firstborn son, Aegon Targareyn. Over the years of King Viserys's reign, sides have begun forming in order to support both claims to the throne, going by The Blacks, for Rhaenyra Targaryen, and The Greens, for Aegon Targaryen. In recent years, tension has risen, as many begin bracing for the coming of war to spill in the realm. With the Succession of Driftmark being determined, along with the most recent death of Vaemond Velaryon, the realm hangs in the balance by a thread's hair.
