LORE: 1923: Inflation struck the Weimar Republic, leading to a crisis that witnessed the Communist influence growing daily. The Freikorps intervened to assist the Weimar Republic against the Communist threat, but their efforts failed. As the crisis unfolded, a brutal and bloody civil war erupted between the Weimar Republic, supported by the Freikorps, and the Communists. France and the UK, upon hearing the news, sent volunteers to aid the Weimar Republic, but their assistance arrived too late. Berlin fell to the Communists, and they were losing ground until a pro-Prussian uprising occurred in East Prussia. Seizing equipment and docks, they gained independence while the Weimar Republic and Communists were embroiled in conflict. Prussia initiated diplomatic efforts through the West, and the UK and France, concerned about the Communist threat in Europe, recognized their state. However, the Soviet Union did not acknowledge them, and the United States remained undecided. 1925: The civil war concluded, and the Communists secured control. Some right-wing and centrist individuals fled Germany, seeking refuge in Prussia, where they would contribute to its future. 1935: The Emergency Crisis in Prussia ended, leading to a referendum to restore the monarchy. Given the monarchist leanings of many right-wing and pro-Prussian individuals, the referendum succeeded. The Dutch government returned Kaiser Wilhelm II without conflict.
